House and school, Hawes, Yorkshire Dales
The National School House consists of a two-bed, stone-built cottage with a 1150 sq ft school room attached. With tall, churchy arched windows looking out over a river and Wether Fell, in the Yorkshire Dales.
The school hall is Grade II listed and has planning approval to turn it into two local occupancy homes (why on earth would you want to turn these two lovely buildings into a terrace??)
The property is detached, in a quiet lane on the edge of Hawes, in Wenslydale. It has lovely garden areas (you've got to look at the pictures, here), parking space and outhouses. The cottage itself needs modernising but is livable and there's a postcard view from each window.
It's on the market through JR Hopper at offers around £210k, more details here.
