Farmhouse, Westhay, Somerset

You'll need to get your skates on if this rural beauty appeals - it's up for auction on Independence Day (July 4th of course!).
Fern Farmhouse is a detached, three-bed farmhouse with outbuildings set in a good-sized plot in the middle of the village of Westhay, about three miles from Glastonbury.
The large garden includes a ruined former chapel (how romantic is that!) and a rather less romantic outside loo.
Masses of scope for someone looking for a restoration project - the downstairs rooms have lots of interesting period details; open fireplaces, a disused Aga, flagstone floors; but it'll need some reshaping to create a proper kitchen, and the bedrooms are in the roof eaves.
It's up for auction through Greenslade Taylor Hunt with a guide price of £165k-£195k, more details here.
