Farmhouse, buildings and land - Cumbria

Beautiful building, great location, bags of land and a part-finished renovation job.
Kinkry Hill House would be a great renovation project for someone looking for a potential smallholding. It comes with around nine-and-a-half acres of land, including ten-year-old woodland planted under the Woodland Grant Scheme.
It's an L-shaped huddle of a stonebuilt, 17th century cottage and adjoining buildings. The house is part-renovated and has services and some central heating. The renovation has extended the house into the adjoining stone barn.
You'll want to re-do some bits yourself. Like the hall staircase:

And personally I'd want to know who did the electrics and what structural work's been done. However, the renovation so far has created very nice, big open spaces in the 27ft-long living area and 25ft-long kitchen.

The three/four bedrooms are nice shapes and there are two part-renovated bathrooms. The other, unrenovated adjoining buildings are also stone and slate and include a bothy, stables and garage.
It's at Roadhead (not something I want to search for in Google again...) around 15 miles from Carlisle and 11 from Brampton.
Kinkry Hill House is on the market through C & D Property Services, at a guide price of £240k - pdf here and more pictures on Zoopla here.
